Slumped Bottles

Students love this project, as there are so many things we can do with a slumped bottle!

Students choose a bottle to wash and dry. Often these need to be soaked overnight so the paper and glue can be removed. Students research slumped bottle ideas online, print and glue these in their sketchbooks. Students then create their own original slumped bottle plan, and draw this out in their sketchbooks.

Once bottles are slumped, students can use acrylic paint, glitter etc. on them. Students can also insert copper wire inside before placing in the kiln to create a loop for hanging.
