Masks

Students came up with a theme for their masks on their own, researched ideas and images, and then drew a plan in their sketchbook. These masks were created using a plastic face base. We then placed plastic wrap on the face to protect it from the gauze and plaster used. Students used about 3 layers of gauze (cut up to fit sections). Once dry students trimmed the gauze and used acrylic paint and added any additions they felt would enhance their mask.
