Dancing Camels

Inspired by the book Giraffes Can’t Dance by Giles Andreae and Guy Parker- Rees. Students practiced drawing realistic and cartoon camels before creating their own unique dancing camel final version. We then colored these camels with colored pencil. The background was created using acrylic paint. Students learned to blend white with blue or black with blue paint to make a gradual value change. Students had fun creating some stars made by flicking white paint off their brush.
