Dragons on Silk

Students planned a unique dragon to paint, and sketched it out in their sketchbooks. We did a few practice runs with the silk paint, blending colors and using salt for effect. Students then traced their dragon (some did it free hand) and used hot wax to create the outlines making suer all borders were sealed. Once dry, students used silk paint for their dragons. These were then ironed to get rid of the excess wax.
