Birds on a Wire

We made these glass birds for an exhibit called “Birds On A Wire”. We started with researching some bird pictures, and getting a color scheme in mind. We drew up a plan for our bird, which included color scheme and what glass materials would be used. We used a bird template to outline onto the glass. Scored the bottom layer of clear glass. Then we scored and placed the other glass pieces on to fit our bird. We fit a small piece of copper wire at the top, to create a hanging loop for display later. Into the kiln for a full fuse. Then added more glass to tac fuse for the eye or wings.
